Electricity, heating and technology

For everyone’s comfort, it is important that heating and electricity function properly in the student residences. If all tenants follow the rules set for this, we can avoid unnecessary power outages, moisture damage or other disturbances and have a more comfortable and easier living situation. You must not install your own heating elements or cover the apartment’s vents.

Heating

It is not allowed to turn off the heat in the apartments during the cold months as it can cause major damage to the apartment.

Electricity/power outage

Do not forget to check your fuses yourself before reporting a power failure. If we are called out unnecessarily, you risk being charged for this.

If you have no power in all or part of the apartment, first check your fuses, which in most apartments are located in an electrical cabinet inside the apartment. Are all the fuses on? Are the residual current device and main switch on? It may be that you had too much running at the same time, and can then try unplugging the last thing you used from the socket and see if it works to turn on the fuses then. Otherwise, look out the window to see if others also lack electricity, then it is probably a larger power outage.

Installation of dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer

If your home does not have any of this, the home is not prepared for it and it cannot be offered.

Consumables that the tenant is responsible for replacing

It is you as the tenant who is responsible for purchasing and replacing batteries for smoke detectors, lamps, fluorescent tubes and glow starters for the lighting fixtures that are mounted in the apartment. However, we can help with this as time permits, by you making a fault report with a description. Since replacement of consumables is not included in the rent, you will in these cases receive a bill for the costs of materials, labor and call-out fee.

Replacement of shower hose, shower head, toilet seat, carbon filter and, where applicable, sponge filter for kitchen fan is carried out and paid for by the landlord, unless it is caused by, for example, vandalism. The waiting time is usually about five working days, except for replacement of carbon filters and sponge filters, which may take longer to be delivered as they are custom-made. then open the window with cross-ventilation for a minute or so. If you do not feel that it gets cooler in the room after a day or so, but that it continues to be too hot, contact our customer center and make a fault report in the app or here.
