Our housing queue applies to 18 student cities, and you only need to register once. No bank ID required, and you can queue from age 13 – completely free.

Here you can find answers to some of the most common questions.
The housing queue at SBS is based on queue days. You start collecting queue days from the day you register and continue collecting as long as you remain in the queue. When you find an apartment you’re interested in, you submit an expression of interest and are placed in the selection based on the number of queue days and any priority rules. Queue days are not affected by applying for housing – they continue to accumulate until you accept a contract.
No, it’s completely free to be in the housing queue at SBS. You pay nothing when registering or for staying in the queue. The only requirement is that you log in at least once every 12 months to keep your queue days.
You can register for the housing queue even if you haven’t started your studies yet. When it’s time to sign a contract, however, you need to be able to show that you’re admitted to studies. We also offer youth apartments, rental properties, and corporate housing in certain locations – then you obviously don’t need to study to apply for housing.
When you find an apartment you’re interested in, click “Submit expression of interest” and log in with your account. You can express interest in multiple apartments at the same time. If you’re offered housing, you’ll be notified via email or My Pages.
It depends on which city you’re applying in, what type of apartment you want, and when during the year you apply. During the start of term, demand is usually higher. During other parts of the year, there may be more vacant housing and shorter waiting times.

When you want to study, we’re there with student housing throughout the Nordic region. Our accommodations are space-efficient with private kitchen and bathroom, and we offer completely digitalized rental management for a smooth living experience.
And you know what, in certain locations we don’t just have student housing! We also have vacant apartments for young people between 18-27 years old.
