Completed project

Campus Elsa

The project began in 2021 and was completed in fall 2023. The development consists of two connected building structures.

The campus name

Campus Elsa – a tribute to a pear tree

The campus area got its name as a tribute to the pear tree that once stood here. A tree that for decades was a companion to life in the neighborhood. Since the 1970s, it grew steadily on the site where the housing now stands, and over time became both a landmark and a memory for many.

To preserve the history and let it live on, a new pear tree has been planted in the courtyard. The tree, which is of the Elsa variety, is a symbol of both continuity and new beginnings.

The pear tree is a living link between past and future. With its roots in the past, she reminds us of the site’s history, while growing alongside the new generations who now call campus their home.

The location

With its central location, proximity to services, restaurants, shopping, and transportation, the housing has become a welcome addition to Norrköping’s range of affordable and quality student accommodation.

Norrköping, Sweden’s ninth largest city, is an attractive student city that continues to grow and develop in line with the municipality’s vision for 2035. The completed student housing initiative is an important contribution to the city’s ambition to reach 10,000 students and 175,000 residents.

Sustainability

Sustainable buildings with smart energy management

Campus Elsa has been developed with a strong focus on both social values and sustainability. The buildings are equipped with solar panels, heat pumps, and smart controls to minimize energy consumption.

We strive for our construction projects to be energy-efficient and built with sustainable and environmentally friendly materials. Many properties are equipped with solar panels and charging stations for electric cars. By creating safe and inclusive environments where we offer common spaces for activities, we strengthen the community and contribute to both social and environmental sustainability. Our areas are designed to counteract loneliness and promote mental well-being, where you as a tenant have access to many activities and meeting places.

This project has been granted investment support and is financed by the European Union through Next Generation EU. The support enables important investments in sustainable development of student housing, contributing to a greener, more resilient, and future-proof social development.
